Pie Maker Shallot Tarte Tatins
Is there anything the pie maker can't do?! Maybe make your bed but these make up for it. These are great as either a starter or a side dish.
Ingredients
- 4 large shallots
- 1tbs butter
- 2tbs caster sugar
- 1 sheet puff pastry
Method
- Pre-heat pie warmer. Microwave the shallots with their skins on for three minutes. Remove the skins with scissors.
- Over a medium heat, melt sugar in a small pot until golden. Stir in butter.
- Cut pastry into four rounds using supplied cutter. Carefully line each pie mould with the pastry.
- Add an equal amount of whole shallots to each pastry round and spoon over caramel. Close lid and cook for five minutes or until pastry is golden
