Heat the butter with a little olive oil over a medium heat in a pan before adding the whole mushrooms. Cook the mushrooms for around 7 minutes or until caramelised, adding the Worcestershire sauce and cooking for a further 2 minutes. Transfer to a plate and keep in a warm oven until serving.
While the mushrooms are cooking, place a pan on the stove over a low-medium heat and rub with a little olive oil. Crack the duck carefully onto the pan and cover with a plate. This will heat your serving plate and cook the egg without having to flip it. Keep checking on it until the whites are fully cooked. Turn off the heat at this point and remove the plate.
Don't wash the pan you used for the mushrooms as you will use it for the steak. Season the steak well with salt and pepper before adding it to a very hot pan, searing on both sides for 1 minute. Leave to rest for at least 2 minutes.
To serve, place your steak on a plate and top with the egg and mushrooms.
